Tiller - Spring, 2009
How Sebelius Subverted the Tiller Trial by Jack Cashill April, 2009
Below you will find links to the charges, and key documents
related to the 19 charges against Wichita late-term abortionist George Tiller, filed originally by former Kansas A.G. Paul Morrison. (See end for most recent in each section)
Below that are related news stories and press releases as well as background on Kristen Neuhaus, M.D.
This case went to trial in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas, on March 23, 2009. Jury selection begins March 16, 2009.
The links are in chronological order and include former Kansas Attorney General Paul Morrison's findings, which current Attorney General Stephen Six is pursuing. Assistant AG Barry Disney is the prosecutor with Judge Clark Owens presiding.
Tiller's first "Motion to Dismiss" was based on his 2007 contention that the 1998 law was unconstitutional. Judge Owens deliberated and issued an order disagreeing with that assertion.
Tiller then filed a "Motion to Dismiss" based on his contentions over the activities of former AG Kline as well as the assertion that AG Morrison (who replaced Kline) only brought charges at the urging of his extramarital lover.
Judge Owens allowed Tiller's lawyers to make their case (the hearings lasted the better part of two separate weeks--one in November, 2008 and one in early January, 2009) with his final ruling in late February 2009 against the motion, thus mandating that the trial take place.

Tiller's Financial Influence on Kansas Politics
Tiller's Influence on State Debated Associated Press, June 23, 2007 THIS IS A KEY, CREDIBLE, CITABLE, ARTICLE ILLUSTRATING TILLER'S POLITICAL INFLUENCE IN KANSAS. This article shows the following by two Tiller-founded organizations: 2002: George Tiller founded his ProKanDo P.A.C. (KFL note: the year Sebelius first ran for Governor). 2002: ProKanDo gave $271,000 to candidates, party committees and other PACs — more than double the second-ranked Kansas Contractors Assoc., according to the state Governmental Ethics Commission. 2003-2004: ProKanDo spent nearly $90,000. 2005-2006: TOTAL $1,213,000.00: ($650,000 ProKanDo PAC, $163,000 in-kind employee pay from Tiller clinic to his ProKanDo PAC, and $400,000 Consumers for Privacy Protection, a "non-profit" which had the same address as ProKanDo, and which financed the "Snoop Dog Kline" campaign postcards used to defeat Phill Kline as A.G. with Sebelius recruit, Paul Morrison).
NOTE FROM KFL: There are more donations from Tiller to Sebelius herself, her own Blue Stem PAC, and to PACs or organizations (e.g. National Democratic Governor's Association) that she helped control.
