MESSAGE: GIVE ME A REASON TO VOTE FOR AND WORK FOR YOUR RE-ELECTION. VOTE FOR THE REVISED CARA BILL and put it on the governor's desk before you leave Tuesday! (That is the day they are expected to go home, but you never know.)

Lance Kinzer, original author of the Comprehensive Abortion Reform Act, has revised the C.A.R.A. bill to conform to the Governor's criticisms that she noted in her veto message.
Thus, please flood your state rep and senator with phone calls and emails on Monday and Tuesday. Even this evening at home if you have their number.
Message: VOTE TO PASS THE REVISED VERSION OF C.A.R.A AND SEND IT TO THE GOVERNOR TUESDAY BEFORE THE LEGISLATIVE SESSION IS OVER.
After adjournment on Tuesday, the legislators will leave and come back for ONE day towards the end of May. If the Governor has vetoed the new CARA, that is the day the override attempts will take place.

Click here for a new AP story on the unsealing of Planned Parenthood lawsuits that appeared today in the Topeka Capitol Journal. It begins like this: " A Planned Parenthood clinic accused of performing illegal abortions and falsifying documents repeatedly has cited an attorney general's letter saying his review of the evidence showed no wrongdoing.
But clinic attorneys failed to persuade the Kansas Supreme Court to take judicial notice of that letter as the justices decide whether to force prosecutor Phill Kline to return patient records that could be crucial to the criminal case..."
